In support of Small Business Saturday, I thought we would share our story. We are Tyler and Amy Fisk, husband and wife, and the owners of Liquid Courage Flasks based in Cookeville, TN. Our journey began when we were finishing up college at Tennessee Tech and following the Dave Ramsey plan by paying cash for school. It all started with Mod Podge, scrapbook paper, and two blank flasks that we found while grocery shopping. We launched our shop, Liquid Courage, on Etsy in May 2010 and sold our first Bride and Groom wedding set. We then expanded into making flasks for the bridal party, and they sold too! This snowball effect lead us into an unexpected discovery of the print industry where we learned various print techniques and processes.
Today, we now have 5 employees that we appreciate greatly, moved into an office that is double the size of our last, and have our flasks in stores throughout multiple countries. Each flask is still wrapped with a design by hand in Tennessee. We are still bookkeepers, graphic artists, janitors, marketers, shippers, importers/exporters, and makers depending on which hat needs to be worn each hour of each day.
